| In October 2004 Anne Kristin was nominated as a
songwriter in the Trailblazer Category in King Eagle Music Award,
Nashville. Even though she did not win, she is proud been
nominated. Anne Kristin's song "I remember Patsy Cline" has
been on radio lists all over the world for more than 1 year.
Also her songs "Autumn Sunday", "Forever on my mind" and "I've
got dreams" has been on the lists for many weeks during 2003 and
2004.
The 12th of August 2002 "Wild mountain callin" was released on the label of
Rocade Records. For 14 days a promotion spot was sent on a national television station.
This song was also played during the 40 years memorial weekend for the death of Patsy
Cline at Camden, Tennessee at e beginning of March 2003. Anne Kristin has always been a big fan
of this artist, and she really appreciated this.
Anne Kristin and her band made a great performance on one of the biggest televison
channels in Norway - TV2 . The band really love to
present their music for a bigger audience.
In November 2000 - Anne Kristin decided to make another recording in Nashville. She
started to write songs and to prepare a recording. In January 2001 she got in contact with
Tim Thompson - and in May the same year - she and Bjørn Peder decided to use Tim as her
producer. He arranged everything in Nashville - booked studio and excellent musicians.
The 7th of September 2001 Anne Kristin and her brother Bjørn Peder went to Nashville to
make this recording. They spent 9 days in The Main Frame Studio - together with Nathan
Smith and Tim Thompson - and 12 songs were recorded - mixed and mastered during those
days.
Anne Kristin is very satisfied with her producer Tim Thompson - who also is a very good
guitar player. He also was the leader of the sessions, and did an excellent job. Anne says
that this is a person that you really can trust in. She says: "He has done
"everything" for me - taken care of me both as a musician and as a person".
Without him - this album would not have been the same! She is very satisfied. If you want
to know more about Tim Thompson - just e-mail Anne Kristin.
She also wants to recommend the studio - The Main Frame Recording Studio - and it's owner
and engineer Nathan Smith. Everybody knows that the music industry in Nashville can be
hard - but this person is one of the best - honest - most reliable persons that she has
ever met - and he really gives you a price that you can "live with". If anyone
wants his address - or Tim's - please just send Anne Kristin an e-mail. The studio is
situated close to Downtown - on Music Row.
Anne Kristin also want to tell how important her brother was in this process. He is the
one who has written many of the melodies to her lyrics, he arranged the demos - and many
of the arrangements were used on the songs. He was there - together with Tim - for Anne
Kristin all the time when she did her singing - and Anne Kristin says that she never could
have done this recording without him.
Anne Kristin also appreciate the time R.C. Finnigan spend on her project before she went
to Nashville. She is very thankful that she has got two songs from him on the album.
At last Anne Kristin wants to say that she never could have done this without her love -
and best friend - Rolf - who has supported her all the way - from back in 1998 - when she
started to talk about this new album. |
