| In August 2002 Wild mountain callin was
released. The CD was recorded in Nashville, and among the 12 songs you both
find traditional country and new country. The song that has been a real success on this
CD is Anne Kristins own tribute to Patsy Cline and to Nashville called I
remember Patsy Cline. |

Anne Kristin is from a small town called
Brønnøysund in the middle of Norway. Back in 1980 she started to write her first songs, at
first in Norwegian and later on in English. In 1992 she was playing together with a blues band, but in her mind
she knew she had to continue with what was closest to her heart - singing country music.
Joining up with her brother these two began making a country album. In 2001 they once
again started to co-operate - and in august 2002 Anne Kristin's new CD was released on the
label of Rocade Records in Bergen.
The first two tapes she bought (at an age of 13 years old), was by Patsy Cline and Bobby
Bare, and Anne Kristin still rank Patsy Cline as her all time favourite artist. During
live performances Anne Kristin always sings one or two songs by Patsy Cline, and the
favourite is the beautiful song called "Crazy". On her new album you can hear
Anne Kristin sings the song by Patsy called "In care of the blues and also her
own tribute to Patsy Cline and to Nashville called I remember Patsy Cline.
In 1992 Anne Kristin and Bjørn Peder went to Nashville with 12 self composed country
songs in the suitcase, and in 1993 the CD "I've got dreams was released.
During 1993 Anne Kristin appeared on several national TV shows in Norway, and the music
video "I've got dreams" was shown on Country Music Television for two months.
She received a lot of positive response from radio stations both in Norway, Denmark and
some other European countries.
In 1995 Anne Kristin joined the International Country Music Grand Prix with the song
"Autumn Sunday" which wasn't released on the production "I've got
dreams". The same year she moved to Bardu, a small place located in the Northern part
of Norway. In 1999 she started to play in a country band called Anne Kristin BAND. In
October 2002 Anne Kristin BAND performed at a TV show and they have also been
performing at several Country Festivals in Norway.
